Mission Statement
I provide sound advice for my clients that minimizes taxes, improves profitability, and stimulates growth.  I strive to under-promise and over-deliver, creating strong relationships will my clients.

Practice History
After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1977 - 1981), I articled at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and became a chartered accountant in 1983.  I started my own practice to help small businesses and individuals with the taxation, accounting, and business advisory needs.  I completed the CICA In-Depth Income Tax Course (1985 - 1986) and have maintained my professional standards through a variety of advanced tax, accounting, technology and business courses.
From 1995 to 2009, I owned and operated several successful restaurants in Toronto, which gave me a comprehensive understanding of the operational, accounting and tax issues that face businesses in the hospitality industry.  Today, a substantial part of my practice is focused on helping restaurant owners improve their profitability and avoid costly CRA tax audit reassessments.
My practice has undertaken a wide variety of special engagements, including forensic accounting investigations, business startup assistance, purchase and sale transactions, private placement financings, litigation support and expert witness testimony in court cases.
Client Testimonials
Paul helped my company get the CRA off our companies back when they assessed my company for a PST audit. He took them to task & proved that their auditor was wrong in their reports about my company. Without Paul the CRA would have assessed me thousands of dollars that I did not owe the government. Paul did an outstanding job for me & I would recommend him to anyone having a problem with the CRA.

Paul is a trusted Advisor to Cdling Capital Services Inc., for his general business acumen and in particular because he has established himself as a leading authority on the use of prediction markets for the enterprise.

The problem is we can not get enough of Paul! There is too much demand for his specialized tax and accounting practices.

I highly recommend engaging Paul's analytical mind for your business.

Kind Regards,

Michael Cayley, Toronto, ON
Paul is now taking care of both my family as well as my business affairs. The level of service and attention to detail he has shown goes far beyond anything I have had before in an accountant. I met Paul less than two years ago but wish it had been twenty!"

Paul is a great guy, fantastic at his job and a pleasure to work with. He's made the often stressful experience of doing taxes easy and worry free!
Brendan Q., Toronto, ON
I didn’t have to pay any income tax for almost three years!  Paul’s tax planning made it possible to get my business up and running much faster.  Not only that, he always found the time to visit and give me guidance and practical advice to help me run the business.  Thanks Paul.

Paul knows the restaurant business as well as I do.  His advice is right on and always useful.  Paul makes it a lot easier to run a hectic business.

Paul handled our tax appeal.  Other accountants we approached were not very optimistic about our chances.  Paul quickly identified the issues and how to solve them.  He was incredibly thorough, resulting in a very detailed appeal.  We were delighted when we found out that the government was reversing the reassessments.  We couldn’t recommend him more highly!
Nancy.B., Toronto, ON
Paul set up and trained me on Quickbooks.  He came in to visit every week until he was sure I could do everything on my own.  Now I only need to call him for unusual things, and he’s always there to help.
Sam.C., Toronto, ON
I had to sell an income property at a large loss.  Paul found a way to turn a capital loss into one that I could deduct against my other income.  It saved me a lot of money, taking some of the sting out of the loss I had to take.
